The Role

As a Head of Design, your responsibilities will include:

  • Play a key leadership role within the business to create vision, implement best design practices and set the standard of output across your design team.
  • Build a talented in-house design team of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI designers).
  • Have exceptional communication skills, and a recognisable thought leader capable of engaging and influencing leaders, pitch and excite to inspire stakeholders within the business.
  • Have 15+ years' experience as a UX/UI Designer with a background in working on B2B and B2C facing products and services.
  • A track record of leading 10+ skilled designers within UX and UI, cross collaborating with engineering, analytics and QA teams.
  • Analysing business requirements to ensure clear understanding in preparation for; writing code that creates new programs and or writing code that creates new programs that satisfy requirements.
  • Ensuring quality is maintained throughout the design lifecycle in its entirety while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget.
  • Actively passionate about discovery and self-learning of new technology, methods, and relevant industry trends and sharing these with the team.
  • Active participation in agile activities.
