Head of Design (well-funded start-up)!
Permanent, full-time | £60,000 - £80,000 salary + shares | Hybrid (2/3 days per week in office)
Passionate about start-ups, tech journalism, and good reporting? We're looking for someone with an out-of-the-box mindset to become the Head of Design for our client, a well-funded media platform start-up! You'll become part of a nationally recognised media platform, strengthening and enhancing the presence of this company, as well as hiring and leading a design team to help expand it beyond the trendy office in East London!

About the role:
As a Head of Design, you'll be reporting into the CEO, straddling both day to day design delivery as well as strategic thinking. You'll be responsible for designing a new suite of products, working with an exceptional team of developers, product leaders, and executive leadership. You'll help to create the future of data and reporting on European start-ups, as the company expand their scope beyond media and journalism to become the leading insights platform for the European technology industry.
About you:
- Experienced in building and evolving Design Systems, with the goal of fostering collaboration across the team and improving the Design to Code process
- Have line managed or helped build a strong design teams (ideally within UI/UX/Product Design)
- Simplifying complex data and analytics to speed data reporting
- Minimum 4 years' experience as a Senior/Lead or Head of Design position
- Exceptional UI Design skills with a strong understanding of UX practices
- Ideally start-up or tech industry experience
