Location: London (2/3 x a week in office)

Salary: £150,000 – £170,000 per annum

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Data to join our client who is a well esteemed Financial Services Organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Data Officer, this role is pivotal in shaping and executing data strategies while managing a team of 100 FTEs, primarily offshore. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving data operations, leading Data Researchers, and overseeing the data operations side of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Strategy: Provide visionary leadership in developing and implementing data strategies aligned with business objectives. Collaborate closely with the CDO to drive the organization’s data agenda.

• Team Management: Lead and inspire a diverse team of Data Researchers and Data Operations professionals, ensuring a high-performing and collaborative work environment.

• Offshore Team Management: Oversee and manage a team of 100 FTEs based offshore. Travel three times a year for on-site engagement and team-building activities.

• Data Operations Expertise: Bring substantial experience in data operations, ensuring efficient management of data processes, workflows, and systems.

• Financial Services Experience: Utilize previous experience in the financial services sector to navigate industry-specific challenges, ensuring data initiatives align with regulatory requirements.

• Global Travel: Engage in occasional global travel (3 x a year) to meet with offshore teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Requirements:

• Proven track record in senior data leadership roles with a focus on data operations.
• Extensive experience managing large teams, particularly in data research and operations.
• Previous experience in the financial services sector is highly preferred.
• Expertise in developing and implementing effective data strategies.
