Role Overview

La Fosse are currently working with an exciting start-up based in Brixton who due to
rapid growth (which has surpassed everyone's expectations) are now looking to bring on an energetic Head of Business Development. This person will provide strategically important input to execute and develop the enterprise sales strategy while supporting their CEO in a range of commercial efforts. The role will involve customer outreach, account management and client services along with being an ambassador for the brand.

The successful candidate will initially be focused on acquiring new and developing existing relationships within global manufacturers, initially within the automotive sector. They will also over time help lay the groundwork within other enterprise entities including digital 3D intensive industries such as; fashion/apparel, VFX, gaming and FMCG.

The Head of Business Development will be charged with helping to rapidly build a best- in-class business strategy and sales capability, enabling the business to achieve ambitious customer acquisition targets.

This will include -
* Creating and assisting with the delivery of the overall business strategy
* Working with the CEO to agree targets and KPIs
* Putting in place the right structures, processes, methodologies, programmes and incentives to deliver against these objectives
* Being fully involved and in control of the sales process, ensuring that the highest value clients are secured, and that revenues from them are optimised
* Managing and strengthening current partners and channel sales - WACOM, HTC, NVIDIA, GOOGLE etc
* Pursuing new commercial partnerships
* Managing existing customer relationships to ensure ongoing customer success

Profile Overview

As well as being a highly commercial and strategic leader, this person will also be an outstanding consultative salesperson, with the ability to sell highly technical and creative solutions into global businesses.
They will be an inspiring leader and communicator, capable of articulating and presenting a clear and compelling vision. They will have experience attracting, recruiting, managing and developing outstanding talent. The person will have worked in fast-paced and agile business and will have an interest in technology.

They are keen to secure someone who has either existing experience, or demonstrably impressive potential for outstanding leadership. They are looking for someone who will raise the bar in terms of supporting their hiring, development, retention and employee satisfaction.

As a senior member of the team, this person will actively contribute to overall company culture, and will be motivated to mentor future direct reports, coaching them and helping to bring an ethos of streamlined and lean methods. As a senior member of the team they will need to embody the businesses culture and be passionate about its mission.

Fundamental capabilities

* Highly Commercial and Strong Sales Abilities -You will have been successful in high-touch, challenging and solutions-based sales environments, developing partnerships and building relationships. You will be capable of closing high-value, strategic, global accounts and will have strong instincts for an effective sales process.
* Enterprise Sales Experience - You will have a good understanding of how to grow, refine and manage world-class enterprise business development; ideally this will have been in design-related business models, but at minimum you will bring knowledge of the key success drivers for such companies.
* Strategic, Analytical, Tech-literate - You will be a structured and analytical thinker, able to define scalable, lean processes and clear strategy that you can implement effectively across multiple industries and sectors. They're looking for someone who is logical and who makes evidence-based decisions. You will also need to be technology-literate and comfortable selling complex solutions to sophisticated customers.
* Leadership and Team Management - Will have excellent communication skills and be adept at building strong relationships across the wider business as well as within the sales organisation. They are looking for someone who has either existing experience, or demonstrably impressive potential for outstanding leadership; someone who will raise the bar in terms of supporting their hiring, development, retention and employee satisfaction as well as contributing proactively to company culture.
* Results and Delivery-focused -As a confident business-developer, you will be highly-motivated and will work relentlessly to achieve strong results that support their long-term growth. You will be energised by a rapid pace of change and strive to deliver beyond expectations in an iterative, start-up environment. Previous experience playing a strategic role in a growing and dynamic business will be a huge advantage, and at minimum you will be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a continuously evolving environment.
