Global SOC Manager - Birmingham - Permanent

Looking for a Global SOC Manager to provide day to day management of security operations, leading security assessments and incident response protocols.

This role will require you to provide advice to SOC personnel, supporting on technical issues and ensuring SOC policies are followed appropriately. As you will be working to ensure that security incidents, threats and vulnerabilities are responded to in appropriate manner.

You will be required as the focal point in the security incident event management process, making the ability to maintain relationships with personnel across all levels of the business essential. With management capabilities being as important as the technical qualities.

A candidate will need to be able to hit the ground running and have a track record of proactively managing a 24x7 SOC.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working within and managing a SOC
  • Several years' experience of Incident/Threat/Vulnerability Identification and Management
  • Experience developing SOC's controls policies and procedures to ensure they are operating effectively
  • Technical expertise and experience working with PCI, ISO 27000 standards, ITIL, UK Cyber Essentials, Gov. DoD standards, NIST etc.
  • Experience improving Security tools, such as security device Management and SIEM (ArcSight)
  • Advanced leadership skills by having the confidence to make key business decisions to ensure effective stakeholder and team performance management.
  • Advanced social and communication skills, with proven experience of being able to interact and meet consumer needs, plus having the desire to enhance knowledge and skills of team members.

The role will be required to obtain and retain SC Clearance.
