FinOps Specialist

Location: Hertfordshire or London (Hybrid)

Salary: £75,000-£80,000 + benefits.

As a FinOps Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of cloud cost control and optimisation, ensuring financial transparency and efficiency across AWS and Azure platforms. You’ll work closely with Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to develop cost forecasting, identify savings opportunities, and implement governance policies that drive smarter cloud spending.

Key Responsibilities

• Forecast and manage cloud budgets, track actuals vs projections.
• Identify efficiencies, eliminate waste, and optimise resource utilisation.
• Develop dashboards, enforce policies, and implement cost allocation models.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure spend aligns with business objectives.

What You’ll Need

• 3-5+ years of cloud technology experience (AWS, Azure).
• Strong understanding of Vendor Management and ITSM
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and cost allocation expertise.
• Hands-on experience with FinOps tools (Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth).
• Understanding of cloud pricing models, discount programmes, and cost-saving strategies.
• Experience influencing stakeholders and driving cost-conscious decision-making.
• FinOps certifications (or equivalent cloud financial management experience) are a plus.
