Engagement Manager

We are working with an innovative and leading software development company with offices in New York, San Francisco, Belarus and now due to high demand and a growing presence in the UK market they have decided to open offices in London. Our client help VC-backed start-ups/fast growing tech companies build successful, scalable products that their users will love. Their purpose is to create products that make the world better which through injecting their technical capabilities into some of the most exciting companies in the world, they are on track to do.

The Engagement Manager will be the first hire in the UK office to help the Head of UK/Head of Engineering with the commercial arms of the business. Although they were founded 10 years ago, the UK is much like a start-up meaning your role will be very diverse; part product specialist, project manager and account manager - you will be working with expert teams to deliver innovative, high-quality software for your clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with some of the world's hottest start-ups defining how their processes are ran to support engineering teams and to raise funding whilst becoming known to the world
  • You will also work with mid+ size companies, helping them to define their processes strategy in the competitive tech world
  • Helping our client find the best clients and support business growth in the UK and EU markets
  • Building positive relationships with clients during projects whilst helping run successful discovery phases to qualify client's requirements further
  • You will be the assigned clients' first point of contact, ensuring that customers remain satisfied with the service
  • Acting as a bridge between clients and the development team, keeping the client aware of the project status and presenting output whilst also working to get answers to any questions that the team may have
  • Managing invoices and bills assigned to customers
  • Working with the marketing team to generate new business

The right candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of B2B sales closing experience
  • A proven track record of delivering user-oriented solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working as a product owner, business analyst, consultant, product or account manager (technology or a related field is a bonus)
  • The ability to do account management post-close
  • Amazing client facing skills, the ability to build trusted relationships with clients at all levels
  • The ability to clearly articulate a product vision/strategy to clients
  • Confidence to work alongside the Head of Engineering to deliver successful discovery phase for clients
  • A strong level of commercial awareness and a strategic mind with the ability to identify business opportunities and contribute to delivering against them for clients
