The Director of Business Development will grow our client's Property Data and Predictive Model product lines through new customer acquisition. This role will work closely with our clients growing Product and Marketing teams to drive awareness and demand for these market-beating products and grow the customer base exponentially. Reporting into the Chief Revenue Officer, this role will own the sales of these product lines into nominated industry segments and take responsibility for execution of the sales strategy into those segments.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Generate a sales pipeline, forging relationships with identified target organisations.
Bring opportunities to closure, negotiating profitable long-term contracts.
Deliver all revenue targets associated with the achievement of new client accounts through proactive sales strategies on a quarterly and annual basis.
Conduct regular meetings with prospective client organisations to demonstrate our capabilities and drive the sales process forward, drawing in other members of the team as appropriate.
Lead responses to relevant RFI and RFPs region ensuring that submissions are of a high quality and deadlines are met at all times.
Provide marketplace feedback to the Product and Marketing teams enabling the development of the company's product roadmap.
Proactively contribute to the positive culture of our clients business through your everyday behaviours.
Work closely with the Customer Success and Technical teams to efficiently deliver on contractual commitments.
A proven track record in a sales role with experience in identifying new opportunities.
Demonstrable success in selling data solutions into the insurance, telecoms, utilities or retail industry.
An ability to build relationships, able to influence, challenge, and engage well with senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Innovative thinker, particularly with regard to approaching sales in a 'remote' world.
Strong negotiation experience, both commercially and legally.
Tech and data literate.
