As the Digital Marketing Manager you will work directly with the Group Director of Ecommerce to develop the business's digital marketing activity to improve their sales and profit contributions. The Digital Marketing Manager will become the business expert in digital marketing with detailed knowledge of SEO, PPC, Display, Social and Affiliate marketing. The successful candidate will monitor business KPIs against group wide benchmarks to help manage performance while keeping up to date with new opportunities that can be implemented across all internal functions.

Key responsibilities

* Acting as the expert for the group in SEO, PPC, Display, Social and Affiliates. The role includes managing 4 direct reports.
* Helping business units to create and implement strategies across all areas of digital marketing
* Monitoring and measuring visitors to the various business unit sites
* Working with the business units teams to understand and improve site visits
* Enhancing the group's digital marketing KPIs to aid performance management across all levels
* Centrally monitoring KPIs, working with business units to improve them
* Supporting and guiding business units in order to analyse agency performance to ensure group learnings are implemented across all business units
* Creating and owning partnerships with leading digital companies and agencies such as Google and Facebook to benefit of the group. Be the lead in paid search and social tenders across the group.
* Work alongside the eLab content manager to ensure the content strategy is in line with improving SEO performance and supports online and social campaigns using search and social insight tools.
* Keeping up-to-date with developments and opportunities in the digital marketing world, using this knowledge to keep the company ahead of their competition
* Creating a support network for business units that allow them to share and discuss best practice in digital marketing

Core competencies

* Strong working knowledge of PPC, Display, Social and Affiliate marketing
* Expert in implementing SEO activity
* Excellent knowledge of working with online analytics
* High level commercial acumen
* Knowledgeable of the digital market place and competitors
