Job Title: Digital Business Engagement Manager

Contract type: Permanent, full time

Location: Hybrid with 2x a month working in Preston office

Salary: £48,684- £52,811 per annum

Benefits: 31 days annual leave + bank holidays and 2 additional days at Christmas, plus a benefits package including: local government pension, dog care, day care, long service awards, Medicash, support groups and eye tests.

Reports to: Head of Digital Engagement

We have an exciting permanent opportunity working with one of the largest county councils in the country. Their in-house Digital Services team have created a role for a Digital Business Engagement Manager to improve services through digital innovation.

The team are at pre-project stage with this role being crucial to match digital solutions to the business and shape future digital projects. They are looking for an enthusiastic team player who is eager to develop their current skills to support the delivery of new projects and maximise the benefits of existing solutions.

Responsibilities will include managing a team including business analysts, business change analysts and application experts. You will also have direct input into the choice of applications used by services across the Council and ensure their functionality is exploited to achieve business benefits and improvements.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience managing teams of business change and IT specialists

  • Solid understanding of IT/digital applications

  • Experience planning business improvement through exploiting applications' functionality and roadmaps

  • Strategic portfolio management and leadership skills across a large organisation

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills

  • IT application and systems (Oracle, Microsoft, Impulse Systems, Symphony and Technology Forge) experience is highly beneficial

  • Experience within a Local Authority, Public or the Third Sector is advantageous
