  • Understand services needs and be able to creatively shape and refine technology solutions to meet those needs with specific experience of Microsoft applications.
  • Lead and facilitate workshops as part of the Digital Programme and work closely with the Programme Manager / Lead
  • Understand the business change needs, assess the impact of changes in relation to benefits and translate these into clearly documented requirements for new software applications and services.
  • Create user stories and plan development activities to facilitate phased releases of software delivery.
  • Work closely with services and a team of project managers, software developers and data analysts.

Essential skills and experience

  • Qualification in Business Analysis
  • A track record of working on IT development programmes with demonstrable experience of working on a variety of different IT delivery projects
  • Exposure to a digital suite of systems such as CRM, Devops, Mobile Apps, BPM
  • Experience of working in a GDS framework
  • Experience of benefits definition and activity based costing
  • Experience of working with a recognised Agile or Iterative development methodology
  • Experience of Agile documentation including Backlogs, Customer Journeys, Use Cases, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria etc.
  • Experience of a variety of requirements elicitation techniques, (e.g. interviews, questionnaires, user observation, workshops, role playing and prototyping)
  • Good facilitation and influencing skills with the ability to work with large groups of staff of varying level of seniority
