A European division of a leading global gaming company is looking for excellent DevOps Engineer across all levels of seniority. The group boasts a valuable porfolio of intellectual property including some of the best selling games with hundreds of millions of copies sold worldwide. With a huge push towards mobile gaming, this is a very exciting time to join both our company as well as the industry.

The successful candidate will manage, maintain, and administer all technical aspects of the company's web and online gaming cloud infrastructure throughout the business. Responsibilities will also include having a strong focus on service delivery and automation.

Main Duties

  • Manage public and private cloud infrastructure
  • Maintain and improve system automation and management tools
  • Administer and manage the web and online gaming server environment on a global scale
  • Partner with system administrators located at other sites
  • Monitor online services and take necessary actions to ensure SL As are met or exceeded
  • Monitor system health and security
  • Provide technical support towards all aspects of the infrastructure
  • Proactively identify and alleviate capacity planning issues and bottlenecks
  • Partner with delivery teams to ensure automated testing, and software deployments are successful
  • Script, manage, configure, and tailor monitoring solutions
  • Assist developers in troubleshooting and optimizing online software components

Competencies, Skills & Knowledge (for junior and mid levels we are not expecting you to be proficient with all the technologies - having experience with at least a handful of the below is enough)

  • Scripting background in either Bash or Python
  • Development experience with interactive backend systems in either: Ruby/TrafficScript/JavaScript/PHP
  • Working with high traffic web applications
  • Experience in continuous integration/delivery: GoCD, Jenkins, Gitlab-ci, or TeamCity
  • In-depth knowledge of Puppet/Ansible
  • Experience with any of the following: Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, Icinga, Docker/Kubernetes, Logstash, Graylog
  • Cloud experience with scale in either: AWS, GCP, Azure or other public cloud platforms
  • Strong Linux system administration background
  • Hands-on experience with the following server components: Nginx, MySQL, Redis, Postgres, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, and HAProxy
  • Managing central logging, log analytics, backup, and archive solutions
  • Solid network troubleshooting experience

The below are also beneficial (but not required)

  • AWS/GCP certification: DevOps/SysOps/Architect
  • Linux certificates Ubuntu/RedHat
  • Ability to potentially work outside of regular office hours
  • Interest in video games and/or online gaming
