Position: Desktop and Application Support Manager (Global Retail)

Location: Bracknell

Salary: £50,000-£55,000 + bonus + benefits

I'm currently working with a multinational beauty retailer, who are actively seeking a Desktop and Application Support Manager.

The Desktop and Application Support Manager will lead a team of 6, who primarily deliver second line support to employees across all group brands, divisions and locations. The remit of this is 400+ retail outlets across 7 European countries (UK, Ireland, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Germany, Italy, and Spain), offices in 3 European countries, 4 European warehouse facilities, a Customer Contact Centre, and all field-based employees.

Requirements:

  • Experience of line management, including across geographical locations, and developing internal teams to become high performers
  • Working knowledge across a range of business line applications (Windows and workplace applications; point of sale; ERP; warehouse & distribution) and EUC/Desktop technologies
  • Excellent stakeholder and 3rd party vendor management skills
  • ITIL certification and experience of working with ITIL approaches and practices including incident, problem & change management
  • A positive, pro-active approach to maintaining and improving service levels
  • Proven experience of service design, introduction and transition
  • Experience in Retail, E-Commerce, or Supply Chain environments is desirable
