Data Protection Manager - Worcestershire (Heavily Remote)

Currently looking for a Data Protection Manager on a permanent basis.

The Data Protection Manager will be key in delivering the Group Data Protection Programme, including implementing a data protection strategy across the business which will incorporate policies, processes and procedures including the Data Protection Policy.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of providing expert advice regarding data protection including interpretation and methods of application as well as have experience of overseeing and undertaking audits that provide assurance on data management and compliance with policies. You will have managed data breaches and other issues relating to the processing of personal data to the Regulator (ICO).

This role will communicate often with a broad range of stakeholders across the business. You will take a proactive approach to data breach management and have the ability to advocate and promote data protection best practice whilst being robust when engaging with the business.

Requirements;

  • Several years experience as a Data Protection / Privacy Manager and / or Officer.

  • Senior DP professional, with the ability to manage a team and lead a function.

  • Data protection strategy - including policies, processes and procedures across the business.

  • Training & awareness

  • Auditing to provide assurance on data management and compliance with policies

  • Managing data breaches and ownership for processing of personal data to the regulator (ICO)

  • Reporting to the Board on data protection strategy and compliance

  • Data Protection Impact Assessments

  • 3rd party risk assurance processes and maintaining records of processing activities

This role is paying up to £60,000 + package (15% bonus, car allowance etc.). This role will be 100% remote during covid, with a high degree of remote working once things return to normal.
