Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage your day-to-day work with a moderate amount of autonomy, seeking guidance and validation for technical approaches from senior team members.
  • Develop technical expertise across specific areas of Janus Henderson's data architecture.
  • Ensure that you adhere to your team's policies and procedures suggesting improvements where relevant.
  • Become familiar with Janus Henderson's Business and IT strategy, and how your role supports this.
  • Your primary focus will be on day-to-day operational execution and developing subject matter expertise, although occasionally you will be expected to represent the team at a broader level.

Technical Skills and Qualifications

Essential:

  • Solid technical proficiency with SQL Server with advanced knowledge of performance tuning and refactoring
  • Full project lifecycle experience
  • Graduate level qualified
  • Familiarity with Data Architecture Patterns and best practice

Advantageous:

  • Familiarity with widely used ETL methodologies and tool sets
  • Knowledge of batch processing
  • Oracle experience
  • Markit EDM (CADIS)
