Role: Solution Data Architect
Contract: Minimum 6 months
Pay: £600-£800 per day inside IR35
Work type: Some projects can accomodate fully remote, others are hybrid London based
The Solution Data Architect ensures that projects and products deliver cost effective, sustainable data and analytics solutions that align with the business' strategic direction. The Solution Data Architect will be expected to develop data models, end-to-end delivery of data science solutions, advanced analytics capabilities such as data engineering, machine learning, data visualizations, generating business insights from data analytics, identifying new value packets and bring key stakeholders on board and other artefacts plus influence design decisions throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key deliverables include the Solution Architecture High Level Design covering all necessary data models, data science solution models, matrices, diagrams, controls and architectural guidance to detail the solution's data design and enable its physical implementation and developing data science solutions, Leading one or more of the complex data engineering projects.
The Solution Data Architect will need to collaborate with the key business stakeholders, Segment Architects to understand the bigger picture driving the segment, leverage and contribute towards Enterprise artefacts, and deliver in accordance with the strategic guidance and enterprise standards.
The role requires a hands-on approach to data-design and data science solutions including specialist knowledge of technologies involved in the implementation of data-based cloud solutions.
Required Skills and Experience
MSc or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, or similar discipline with at least 10 years' experience on data science projects.
Broad experience and knowledge in Statistics, Machine Learning, and data engineering.
Awareness of issues in statistics and dependence on data quality
A practical common-sense approach to problem solving and attention to detail.
A passion for and expertise in practicing data science to solve real-world customer problems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for teamwork, as well as the ability to work independently.
High standards of code quality, making use of version control tools.
Proficiency in statistical software packages such as R, Python, MATLAB.
Good knowledge of cloud environment like specifically Azure is required.
Experience in Agile working methodology
