Data Analyst

Business Intelligence Analyst | London, with WFH | Perm + Bonus | £55k-£60k

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established global pharmaceutical distribution company. They are currently looking for a commercially adept BI Analyst to join their analytics team, who will be able to provide innovate analyses to support negotiations, analyse sales performance KPIs with their manufacturers, and to help drive and improve our client's data reporting framework.

The role will primarily support the commercial and finance teams. The BI Analyst will have to have a great understanding of market dynamics, being able to communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders and to retrieve the necessary information from external data vendors that our client needs to be successful.


  • Perform analyses on internal and external data sources to prepare for, support, and assess results of supplier negotiations and track performance of our businesses
  • The analyst will create innovative dashboards and dynamic reporting using BI tools such as Tableau to bring the data and underlying messages to life
  • Lead projects focused on driving incremental value with Commercial teams, partnering with the business effectively to understand areas for optimisation and growth opportunities
  • The analyst will work with external data vendors to gather useful information to further support our knowledge of our suppliers and business areas, as well as competitive intelligence of the overall market
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and liaise with technical teams to implement these changes
  • The analyst will have an eye for data quality and integrity, loading, cleansing and querying data from structured databases
  • Effectively communicate with senior leadership and be able to confidently deliver pertinent messages to the wider group

Minimum Requirements:

  • Expertise building dashboards and interactive reports with BI tools, in particular Tableau and Alteryx
  • 3 Years minimum experience working in analytical roles
  • Highly analytical; able to clean, scrutinize and interrogate high volumes of complex data and translate into meaningful reports, insights and high-level management information
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Office,
  • Experience working in a complex, global organisation
  • Ability to communicate across all levels in an organisation and confidently present to a senior audience
  • Comfortable working in a rapidly changing, project led, fluid environment
  • A self-starter and team player who can work under high levels of pressure to challenging deadlines
