Cyber Security Analyst

Transport and Logistics firm 30 minutes outside of London require a Cyber Security Analyst who has extensive Security Operations and Endpoint Security experience. The Cyber Security Analyst must be comfortable liaising between the Security and the business and ideally has worked within matrixed environments.

The Security Analyst will have the following experience:

  • Monitoring appropriate processes and controls to identify and respond to security incidents
  • Managing the processing and response to identified issues with both internal and 3rd party partners
  • Continuous improvement of the firms Information Security capability through: Analysis, Education, Policy Reviews & Creation, Technology Service Solutions, Process Controls and an effective communication strategy covering both internal and supplier operational reviews.
  • Ensures maximum output from investment of Security Tools e.g. Cyber Security controls including Qualys, Mimecast, Tufin, Skyhigh, and Splunk and contributes to the implementation of new compliance controls.
  • Demonstrable track record of performing Information Security reviews and services in a complex operations environment.
  • Certified Security industry qualifications (e.g. SSCP, CISSP, CISM, SANS) highly desirable.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of the Information Security roadmap and seeks appropriate buy-in to deliver an effective Information Security Programme.
  • A Background in Infrastructure and technical security is preferable
  • Comfortable working with Work with a variety of areas of IT and the business e.g. Architects, DevOps solutions,
  • Produce reports based on the output of data from systems and security tools e.g. Qualys
  • Capture a risks, update spreadsheets and contributes to the recording and analysis of all Cyber security risks on the IT Risk Register; including the identification, timely reporting and effective management of mitigating measures (or risk acceptance).
  • Engages with relevant boards and groups within IT and the Business that relate to Cyber Security; representing IT and owning actions to an effective outcome.
  • Experience of analysing and reporting on Information Security risk within an industry recognised control and audit framework is a must; e.g. ISO27001, COBIT, SOC2, PCI DSS.
