Our client is seeking a Compliance Manager, a role suited to a Senior Regulatory Business Analyst – who is focussed on running regulatory change projects and giving direction to the BAU team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering regulatory reporting projects across multiple jurisdictions and experience coordinating and driving regulatory change initiatives

Job Description: As the Compliance Manager specializing in Regulatory Reporting, you will lead a team responsible for maintaining compliance with key regulations governing our trading operations. Your expertise in EMIR, MiFID II, REMIT, and MAS reporting obligations will guide our business decisions and promote ethical behavior and adherence to laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the regulatory reporting team, ensuring tasks and activities are effectively managed and deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate and drive regulatory change initiatives, adapting to evolving requirements.
  • Monitor and assure compliance with EMIR, MiFID II, REMIT, and MAS reporting obligations, aligning processes and controls with regulatory rules.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to discuss operational impacts and requirements of regulatory reporting.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor regulatory risks, contributing to policy and process improvements.
  • Develop a deep understanding of regulatory obligations and provide input to the global strategic vision for regulatory reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for reporting processes and controls.
  • Standardize and simplify practices across regions to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
  • Provide training and advice on regulatory requirements and trading compliance standards.
  • Support and advise on regulatory aspects of implementation projects.
  • Foster partnerships with the business, positioning compliance as an enabling and supportive function.
  • Assist the business in identifying and mitigating risks related to new activities.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive expertise in regulatory reporting within a commodity trading environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a collaborative and problem-solving approach.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work individually and within a team.
  • Proven track record of delivering regulatory reporting projects across multiple jurisdictions.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory rules, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
  • Experience in upskilling others and sharing regulatory knowledge.
  • Comfortable challenging norms to elevate standards and promote best practices.
