Our client, a well-known Elite Sports Organisation, is looking for a Commercial Manager who will join this project at a critical pre-launch phase to take full ownership across all Sales and Marketing strategy development and implementation with significant input and responsibly for P&L management, data analysis, legal, forecasting and demand planning.

The successful candidate will drive have experience with the following: driving commercial success throughout the go-to-market, launch and growth phases by taking the lead on product strategy and range management, brand and marketing management across the full marketing mix, sales development and management through B2C and B2B channels on a global scale.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage commercial product strategy and range management, hand-in-hand with the product development team.
  • Develop and lead brand, marketing, and communication strategies across geographies to deliver defined strategic, operational and financial growth goals.
  • Develop and manage all sales channels (D2C, B2C, B2B), globally, in-line with the strategic plan.
  • Drive device sales, grow subscription numbers and revenue to maximise LTV.
  • Build relationships with strategic brand, media and platform partners.
  • Leverage data analysis, analytics and insights in commercial, brand, product and marketing development and decision making.
  • P&L management and full budget control.
  • Lead product forecasting and demand planning
  • Manage commercial contractual negotiations and ensure legal compliance.

Essential Skills

  • Significant sales and marketing leadership experience in at least one direct to consumer business
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully taking new digital products and brands to market, particularly in the UK and USA
  • Consumer durables experience (i.e. a physical product), ideally premium consumer electricals and / or connected home devices
  • Expertise across all digital channels to include ecommerce and apps
  • Demonstrable knowledge of digital business models including subscription
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, persuasion & influence, teamwork, analytical and numerical skills
  • A passionate leader, strategic thinker yet all over the detail, with the drive and ambition to see-through plans to successful conclusion.

Desirable

  • Global experience across UK, USA, Europe and Asia
  • Curious and experimental, with a desire to break-out from traditional methods.
  • A deep understanding of consumers and their motivations
  • An ability to form flexible and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders
  • Interest in, sport, nutrition, health and fitness, really great if they have worked in fitness industries.
