As CMDB Manager, you'll be landing in an ever innovative and modern environment within a global organisation where you'll be an integral member of the ITSM team and will play a significant role in ownership, governance, and operational support for Configuration Management.

You'll be creating and implementing Configuration Management policy, method, and procedures that are in line with ITIL Service Configuration Management best practise, and collaborating closely with colleagues in the Infrastructure, Information Security, and Transformation teams.

Location: London (2 days per month)

Remuneration: up to £450 per day (outside IR35 - 4-month contract)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing, implementing, and maintaining the CMDB's governance model as well as seeing to it that the procedure is followed to maintain the data's accuracy and integrity.

  • Leading Service Configuration Management governance and maturity activities, create the road map for the CMDB and the Service Configuration policies, processes, and procedures.

  • Being the subject matter expert in all aspects of the CMDB, ensuring discovered data is correctly integrated, leading on troubleshooting and remediation for the data integrations.

  • Managing and maintaining data relationships as defined in the Configuration Models (CSDM).

  • Travel to Spain once a month (Travel and expenses covered).

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Have an in-depth understanding applying the ITIL framework around Service Configuration Management to develop and improve policies and procedures around the CMDB.

  • Experience in creating Service Mapping to build and manage the CMDB in ServiceNow or similar Service Management tooling.

  • Experience in reporting to create dashboards and using these for health checks of the CMDB.

  • Experience in working with the IT Service Management processes of Change, Problem, and Incident Management in relation to the CMDB.

  • Fluency in Spanish is desirable but not essential.
