Cloud Architect

Cloud Architect - Permament - £80k-£86k - 2 days a week in Bradford office

As a Cloud Architect you will be helping them on the Cloud Transformation Journey. Your Primary responsibility will be to work alongside Project Managers and SMEs to translate business objectives into project scope, and subsequently defining technical requirements, and cloud-based solutions. Delivery of compelling solutions oriented around "Platforms" underpinned by the Microsoft and Azure Cloud Technology Stack

Role

  • Develop and maintain the target Cloud Application Architecture and Product-centric Roadmap, enabling Business Services through "Digital Platforms" and Cloud Services

  • Identify candidate Architecture Roadmap components based upon gaps between the Baseline and Target Application/Service Architectures.

  • Working with the Head of EA and EA team to continuously improve the maturity of Architecture and Cloud Platform Principles.

  • Create and maintain the baseline Application/Service Portfolio and Interface Catalogue.

  • Develop and create conceptual, contextual, logical and physical models to support the use of data and operations across the company.

  • Mapping of cloud applications and services to their purpose in supporting the business; and demonstrating associations from applications to data, through the business-information diagrams developed during Business Architecture.

  • Ensure project design deliverables adhere to FGH's Architectural and Security principles.

  • Ensure that Enterprise Architecture is, and is recognised as, a valuable asset.

  • Take ownership and create the "Service" building blocks and application matrices within the EA Repository.

  • Relationship manager between agreed technology partners and act a point of escalation between IT and the technology partner.

Skills & Experience

  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft products - particularly Azure Cloud Technologies & methods, and software development & architecture is essential

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with people at all levels, internally and externally with proven ability to influence senior leaders strategic thinking in line with organisation priorities.

  • Ability to communicate complex concepts in an engaging manner to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Be confident in consulting and building relationships with customers and understand their business needs

  • Excellent knowledge of the Solution Life Cycle

  • Deep understanding of and experience with cloud-native software architecture patterns, tools, and approaches in an enterprise setting

  • You will have worked on cloud application projects with experience of many aspects of the project from initial design, build, integration and run.

  • Good understanding of using agile delivery methods, i.e. Scrum and scaled agile delivery methods, i.e. SAFe or LEAD

  • General technical interest with an inquisitive nature and someone who likes to solve problems.

  • Good understanding of infrastructure, network, database, security architecture, IAM for cloud-based solutions

  • Working collaboratively in larger teams or be an individual contributor in project engagements
