Location: London

My client is currently looking for a Change Manager to join their ITSM team.

Reporting to the Service Management Lead, the Change Manager will own and manage the change lifecycle ensuring appropriate governance is applied before changes are implemented into the production platform. The Change Manager will need to provide leadership and steer in this role and should be able to communicate effectively and make presentations to IT and Business stakeholders on a regular basis.

The Change Manager must have significant experience of working with Cloud Services, Agile Delivery and implementing Change Management in the cloud. They will work closely with stakeholders including system specialists, system owners, business stakeholders, development teams and our 3rd party technology partners on a number of activities - Managing system / service dependencies; confirming that people, process, product and partner resources are available for all changes; planning for future changes and maintaining change roadmaps to ensure adequate planning, preparation and rationalisation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Own and lead the change management process
  • Understanding the 'bigger picture' and business & IT strategy and able to align the change management process accordingly
  • Provide process leadership and steer to all technical teams within IT
  • Driving the efficiency and effectiveness of the change process and produce high quality documentation and presentations
  • Identifying, prioritizing and implementing process improvements
  • Developing and maintaining the change management process, procedures and templates
  • Understand and articulate the benefits and risks of proposed changes
  • Chairing CABs and Change planning meetings effectively
  • Presenting to IT and business stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Periodically auditing the process to ensure compliance to policy and standards
  • Risk assessment of RFCs and Authorisation of RFCs for build/test
  • Rejection (or delay) of RFCs for which deployment is unacceptable

Skills/Experience Required:

  • ITIL V3 Foundation or above qualification
  • Has performed the role of Change Manager and holds a strong knowledge of Change & Release processes and best-practice
  • Significant experience of working with cloud and/or digital services
  • Can demonstrate leadership, excellent communication and is articulate
  • Able to build and value strong business relationships with stakeholders
  • Able to challenge the status quo and have a proactive, continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience of using a Service Management toolset - Jira/ Remedy/ ServiceNow
