Position - Change & Release Manager

Location - Hammersmith

Salary - £47,500 (plus bonus & benefits)

My client, an award winning multi-channel broadcaster, is actively seeking a Change & Release Manager. Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure and Operations, the Change & Release Manager will take ownership of C&R mgmt processes, ensuring documentation and relevant procedures are in place for system and product configuration.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, maintain and manage an appropriate documentation framework for capturing all required system and product changes across the technology and business systems estate, following appropriate industry standards.
  • Manage the release and change management process across the relevant systems estate. Prepare relevant user facing documentation advising of benefits and enhancements relating to product releases and configuration enhancements.
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in place so all approved system and product configuration performed by product owners, support staff or the development team are correctly captured and documented.
  • Complete documentation as required for environment changes, development releases, system configuration updates and business system product releases.
  • Implement configuration changes as directed by Product owners, Technology team or Projects following approval from the Technical Design Authority.
  • Provide technical, product and process expertise to internal teams as required.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Demonstrable experience developing and managing the process of capturing and documenting system/product configuration (on an ongoing basis) across a suite of business systems.
  • Demonstrable experience managing the release and change management process across a comparable systems estate in a previous role.
  • Experience implementing, maintaining and overseeing an industry standard documentation framework.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate with and influence a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders of differing skills levels and organisational seniority
  • ITIL and Prince2 Certified (desirable).
  • Pragmatic, flexible attitude - unfazed when things do not always run smoothly, with demonstrable experience in changing approach where necessary to still achieve the required outcomes.
