Business Development Exec - Based in Southwark, London

Off the back of achieving their best year of sales of all time (since 2006) our client is valued by their customers for helping people have more honest conversations that drive workplace engagement and performance. They are now looking for a motivated Business Development Executive who wants to begin a career with clear progression routes.

Our client are looking for someone who can contribute significant new business pipeline growth - as a BD Exec you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering pipeline growth by proactively engaging and educating target companies through outbound campaigns such as calls, emails, LinkedIn and postal campaigns. You will also use resources such as the marketing team and previous data to grow opportunities and pipeline value.
  • Managing conversion/improve creation of inbound leads, currently 10% of deals come from an inbound source which they want to increase. The right BDE will convert the leads and monitor trends of successful conversion.
  • Delivering meetings and demos with new customers/stakeholders. Product demonstrations and intro meetings are often the first point of contact, most of our client's new business is UK based so meetings are often face to face.
  • Navigating the sales cycle and engaging with multiple stakeholders to close a deal - you are responsible for helping your main contact build stakeholder support which could include presentations to senior people, product trials/various meetings and conversations with key contacts within the business. You will also proactively seek customer feedback to improve solutions and the way our client interacts with customers.
  • Ensuring smooth handover to the customer success team and maximise referrals - handing accounts over smoothly with clear plans, the handover will be measured as well as the number of referrals gained at this point.

To be considered you will have a successful track record (1 years +) of B2B selling to Senior HR Stakeholders. The right Business Development Exec will also:

  • Be naturally competitive
  • Demonstrate learnings and failures in managing complex stakeholder relationships
  • Have worked in a small technology scale up environment
  • Naturally have an active interest in self/people development and psychology
