Senior Intercompany Business & Data Analyst – House hold global name

4 days a week on site in Kensington / 1 day remote

£35,000- 40,000 plus amazing benefits.

An exciting opportunity for a Business & Data Analyst to join a global house hold name client in the Music and Entertainment industry in their Royalities finance team.

Job Description:

A little bit about our team:
MUR stands for Master Use Royalties, and is the name given to the intercompany transfer of money and transactional data between our clients joint companies. Every month the Intercompany Royalty team receive sales reporting from this clients affiliates and partners from around the world. Streams, downloads, physical, syncs, performance, neighbouring rights and D2C reporting all pass through MUR. The MUR system ensures that the reporting entity is billed at the correct intercompany rate and the owning company is paid accurately, with the accompanying transactional data provided as backup.

Your role:
This role you will be working with the Intercompany Royalty Manager to assist with the current MUR process; analysing transactional and financial data reported by the clients affiliates and licensees to ensure onward accounting through the MUR system is completed accurately.

Here you’ll get to:

  • Monitor all types of sales reporting and ensure they’re picking up the correct intercompany rates.
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of the sales flow from point of sale to onward accounting to downstream systems.
  • Take ownership of suspended transactions, learning about the various types of validation and how to clear errors
  • Liaise with Product Data Management to ensure correct income allocation
  • Create queries and reports using Business Objects and Microsoft Excel and present the results in a clear and meaningful manner
  • Work closely with the International Finance team to book monthly transfer amounts
  • Maintain and improve the manual reporting templates on Microsoft Excel which are used for any off-system sales reporting
  • Become the first point of contact for affiliates, answering queries and assisting with any questions they might have..
  • Support the Intercompany Royalty Manager with ad-hoc queries.

  • 3+ years BA and data analysis experiene in a financial environment
  • Problem solver
  • Strong analytical background
  • Ability to prioritise efficiently
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills


We’d love it if you also had:

  • Experience in music finance or royalties
  • Experience of Business Objects or similar query builders
  • Experience with SAP
