Title: Business Change Project Manager

Salary: £65,000 – £70,000.

Type: Permanent.

Location: Heston ~ 2 days weekly.

Other travel: Where needed to other sites.

Overview:

La Fosse have partnered with a leading global services organisation who are embarking on a major technology-led change transformation. They are looking for a Business Change Project Manager to join the team to drive and deliver the change across the transformation.

This role will serve as a crucial link between the IT department and various business units. It will emphasise facilitating the implementation of multiple IT system projects by collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders, and by working closely with both internal IT teams and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Sponsor and key stakeholders to define the project’s scope, objectives, and key deliverables.
  • Develop business cases and establish performance metrics to monitor project delivery progress.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, assigning responsibilities to appropriate owners.
  • Ensure projects are sufficiently resourced by identifying necessary resources and addressing any skill gaps to ensure successful delivery.
  • Define and evaluate business readiness criteria for operational areas.
  • Develop comprehensive business readiness plans, aligning them with business needs to cover testing, training, communication, engagement, and post-implementation support for seamless transition to new processes.
  • Partner with business analysts to conduct process analysis and design new or modified business processes, ensuring they are clearly defined and documented.
  • Implement and uphold robust project governance to aid decision-making, organize cross-functional project meetings, and report on project progress.
  • Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders through both formal and informal channels, fostering strong working relationships with the Executive Sponsor and business leaders.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and interdependencies, developing mitigation strategies and escalating issues to the appropriate level when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the broader transformation team to ensure project alignment across the portfolio to minimize business impact.
  • Develop and deliver communication plans related to business change initiatives.
  • Ensure the necessary tools are in place to track the realization of business case benefits.
  • Facilitate the lessons learned process and document outcomes to guide future changes.
  • Contribute to the performance management of indirect reports as needed.
  • Undertake or facilitate required technical and professional training.

Experience Needed:

  • A Project Management Certification (Prince2, PMP, PMI).
  • Proven experience in business critical project/ programme delivery and business readiness implementation.
  • Experience of developing and implementing project management / project control systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and proven ability to build relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent 3rd party management and communication, on- shore and off- shore.
  • Knowledge and experience of budget development, management and evaluation
  • Influencing, motivating and leadership skills, with an ability to deliver change
