Role: Business Analyst

Location: Watford ~ 1 day weekly in office - 2/3 days when needed.

Salary: Up to £65,000 + bonus.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Business Analyst to join a leading and reputable retailer to work on a range of complex, large projects on an end-to-end basis. You will sit between the tech and commercial teams, establishing excellent communication throughout each project to aid successful delivery.

You will have the opportunity to work on multiple customer-focussed projects, including their order management system. Translating the technical requirements into layman terms within workshops for seamless communication across the organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Establish a deep understanding of relevant business areas to be able to recommend solutions and enable the ability to build high-quality requirements.

  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment, where some processes may not have been established, having the ability to establish process recommendations to aid successful delivery.

  • Facilitate interviews, workshops, surveys, site visits, and storyboards.

  • Shape business requirements by making recommendations and suggesting alternatives to proposed solutions and communicate any trade offs with the relevant Business Stakeholders.

  • Understand technical options, limitations, costs, and risks.

  • Translate conceptual user requirements into clear, detailed functional requirements, and work with business and delivery teams to prioritise requirements.

  • Help resolve competing priorities from stakeholder groups by facilitating stakeholder discussions, and escalate issues where appropriate.

  • Manage requirements on an end-to-end basis.

  • Create artefacts as required, including business case documentation, scope documentation, and process flows.

  • Support delivery teams as they develop, test, and deploy solutions.

  • Review delivery team output to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted; define and execute test cases.

  • High-level documentation of current processes and models to understand inefficiencies or gaps (GAP analysis).

  • Identify and assist in prioritising opportunities to streamline business processes.

  • Promote a collaborative team environment and provide mentorship to junior-level analysts.

Qualifications

  • Proven business analysis skills in large and complex business and customer facing projects.

  • Working in Cloud and SaaS based solution projects.

  • Experience in Retail, FMCG, Consultancy or similar industry.

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of experience).

  • 3-5 years of experience in business analyst position.

  • Background in Supply Chain is (Preferred).

  • Professional certification in agile methodologies (Preferred).
