Role: Business Analyst

I am currently working with a leading global re-insurance organisation who are embarking on a large scale back-office transformation programme. Following a major growth in the organisation due to aquistions, they are looking to standardise all their business processes, and frameworks globally. You will have the opportunity to work on mapping out the future state vision of all the back office functions globally to aid the delivery of their portfolio of Transformation projects.

You will work alongside multiple Business Analysts, within the transformation programme, which consists of five large and complex workstreams. The organisation is a fast-paced and ambiguous environment which due to growth does not have standardised governance, or technology, the aim of the delivery of these workstreams is to implement a standardised process, governance, and systems for the whole of the organisation (Globally).

Responsibilities:

  • Identify business needs from a user perspective, including local business unit specific needs and global functional needs

  • Produce and manage requirements (functional and non-functional), and create accurate user stories.

  • Set out clear and accurate acceptance criteria to be used by developers, testers, and cross-functional teams to align with business needs.

  • Review and identify opportunities to optimise business capabilities and processes and drive efficiency.

  • Take a lead role throughout the full project lifecycle (end to end), from defining business needs to solution fulfilling the defined requirements.

  • Coordinate the design, implementation, and testing activities, ensuring all solutions meet expectations and business requirements.

  • Prioritise local and global business needs, product fixes, and tactics.

  • Sit between the business stakeholders and solution providers in the business and externally, and facilitate collaboration.

  • Be responsible for ensuring all outcomes align with the business vision and strategy, and be an active advocate for change and continuous improvement.

  • Work alongside the test team to ensure full understanding and acceptance of new features and functionalities, defining a clear traceability matrix between business requirements and proposed technical design.

  • Collate, review, and update process and technology documentation throughout project lifecycle to reflect changes in business processes and technology for the whole organisation.

Qualifications:

  • BA qualification or equivalent (BCS, CBAP, CBATL, etc.).

  • Excellent stakeholder management, at all levels, preferably in a large and complex organisation/ global organisation.

  • Experience working with a wide range of systems, such as Tyche, SAP, AXIS, SQL.

  • Experience and ability to identify opportunities for process optimisation and/or standardisation.

  • Practical knowledge of the insurance industry, including business and industry practices, tools, and techniques.

  • Strong ability to to mediate between high-level vision and detailed technical analysis.

  • Understanding of delivery methodologies i.e. Agile/ Waterfall.

  • Experience within Change management, with the ability to tackle resistance to change, and challenge high level stakeholders.

  • Excellent high-level reporting.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication.

Salary: Circa. £70,000 - £80,000 + Excellent Benefits.

Location: Hybrid (2 days in office), based in London
