Key Responsibilities


· Guidance & Support to the PMO Benefits Officer. Ensuring appropriate tasking, support and guidance is provided.
· Define, communicate and promote the Business Benefits Realisation process.
· Create the benefits framework in line with MSP approach and actively manage and develop Benefit Profiles.
· Monitor programme business cases, considering the original identified benefits, measuring them against actual benefits achieved by the newly installed capabilities.
· Routinely report progress on benefits delivery vs business case to key stakeholders.
· Identify and support individuals taking accountability for delivering benefits from the programme(s) and make sure benefits delivery measurement and reporting is timely and effective.
· Support the Head of PMO on the development of the benefits realisation strategy and plan.
· Research and support best practice for benefits realisation and continuous improvement, and communicate delivery processes and lessons learned across the benefits community.
· Take the lead for providing benefits realisation training and delivery assurance to members of change teams and PMs.


Essential criteria


· Practitioner level in Prince2 and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) accreditation.
· 5+ years prior (IT / change enabling) project and programme experience with a comprehensive knowledge of relevant development lifecycles & related processes.
· Experience of assessing and reporting on impact of disbenefits which may accrue (e.g., delayed switching off systems due to transition delays).
· Experience of developing and implementing management information using cost benefit analysis methods, benefit mapping and benefit profiling tools.
· Knowledge and experience of benefits strategy and planning.
· Experience of influencing, communicating and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders at a Senior level.
· Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
· High degrees of personal and professional integrity, self-motivation and accountability.
· An analytical mindset, with the ability to thing strategically to solve problems.
