AWS Integration Architect - Fully Remote - Outside IR35 - £600 to £650 per day - 6 month initial contract

This contract presents an opportunity for an AWS Integration Architect to work with a boutique integrations consultancy, servicing a financial services client. The AWS Integrations Architect will be well-versed in designing high availability AWS cloud scale solutions based on Kafka event steaming.

Specific technology experience required:

  • Kafka / EKS
  • AWS EC2 / ECR
  • AWS SQL / NoSQL technology
  • AWS Managed Services
  • Github & Terraform

Demonstrable experience with cloud-scale integration architectures:

  • Utilising public cloud services to build integration solutions
  • Micro-services
  • Serverless & managed services
  • Container orchestration
  • API Management
  • Event streaming
  • Eventual consistency patterns
  • Massively scalable
  • Global latency

Prior extensive experience as an integration developer / engineer:

  • Several years of integration development experience before operating at the architect level
  • An engineering and development-led architect that continues to be heavily involved in solution implementation
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior engineers
  • Full project lifecycle experience including design, development, testing, defect resolution, deployment, post launch support

Strong awareness of DevOps practices in delivering integration solutions:

  • Automation pipelines
  • Automated build, deployment, and testing
  • Package management
  • Test automation using stubs, mocks, harnesses
