A Director of QA with experience implementing test automation and agile software delivery is sought to assist a banking organisation in the midst of vast digital change. You will be respinsible for the oversight and modernisation of all aspects of Quality and ensuring all processes coinside with the changes and significant initiatives currently being implemented accross the organisation.

You will have a current and thorough understanding of hands-on technical aspects of quality, particularly test automation and you will demonstrate how this can be used to realise significant improvements in fficiency. The scale of the role will demand strong vendor management with experience of outsourcing but also a track record of marshaling a strong inhouse practice. You will be responsible for departmental funds up £1.5m with 2 direct reports and reporting directly into the MD of IT.

You will have sound understanding of following and implementing best practice, be well versed in mentoring and developing the skill of the in-house QA team and assist in driving adoption of Test Automation and agile software delivery. Furthermore you will have experience/knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD and how this can be harnessed to further boost efficiency and quality.

Experience working in Fintech organisations is desirable, however, you do not necessarily have to have worked in a bank to be considered for this position. What is very important is that you are able to demonstrate technical understanding of hands on QA and Automation in tandem with a strategic vision of how this can drive efficiency throuhout the wider organisation.
