La Fosse Associates are operating in the capacity of exclusive recruitment partner for Camden, Haringey and Islington councils as they embark on an exciting Shared Digital journey.


Camden, Haringey and Islington councils have created a shared digital and ICT service. Their decision to share a digital and ICT service will enhance their services to residents and save costs. More importantly, the shared service will deliver an ambitious programme of change and transformation, saving over £6 million a year across the three boroughs. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a newly created senior leadership team where you will shape the future of IT across the 3 boroughs and their 700,000+ constituents.

Role Purpose

The Assistant Director Digital Partnerships will work closely with:

  • Council politicians and leadership teams
  • Chief Digital and Information Officer
  • Members of the Shared Digital senior leadership team

Role Requirements

  • To play a key role in developing trusting partnership relationships and a deep knowledge of business challenges, opportunities and direction. To develop and nurture these relationships to allow for more joining-up of cross-borough and cross-service service improvement and cost saving opportunities. To provide the link between the Councils' corporate planning and the Shared Digital service planning activities. These relationships will operate across services so ensuring that common needs are understood and that shared learning and common solutions are applied across all services.
  • Act as a conduit between Shared Digital and the Councils.
  • Initiate and influence relationships with and between key stakeholders, in business change design, management and implementation, acting as a primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, planners, designers and operational business partners.
  • To recognise and exploit business opportunities provided by ICT. To ensure more efficient and effective performance across the councils based on best practices, methods and standards and to explore possibilities for new ways of conducting business including establishing new services or businesses.
  • Possess a significant track record in budgetary management and managing in matrix environments
  • Ensure that stakeholders understand available Shared Digital services, and promote financial and commercial awareness in order to deliver value-for-money.
  • Manage colleagues in their dealings with partners, and initiate procedures to improve service to and relationships with partners. Whilst ensuring that demand is managed and prioritised based on benefits and alignment with Council outcomes and strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technology trends and developments over a broad range of ICT, seeking to identify where technology might be deployed in order to deliver business improvements and competitive advantage.
