Applications Services Manager

I am currently looking for an Applications Services Manager for my global client, responsible for their enterprise application portfolio and its performance across the business. This is a great opportunity to work across a portfolio hosted entirely in AWS, working with 3rd party suppliers to ensure that all applications are highly available and fit for purpose within a global organisation.

In this role, you will be:

  • Accountable for the complete end-to-end service of the enterprise portfolio of integrated, multi-sourced SaaS (including Salesforce, SharePoint, SuccessFactors, Business ByDesign, and BPC) products and processes, to ensure these are catalogued, proactively managed and developed in accordance with service level agreements and transparent charge back mechanisms.
  • Responsible for day to day operations and ensuring methods, procedures, facilities and tools are established, maintained and levels of service are improved with effective management of 3rd parties.
  • Negotiating with relevant parties in respect of disruptions and major amendments to the provision of services.
  • Ensuring that a Service Portfolio and Catalogue of all available services are created, maintained, and used as the basis of the Service Level Agreements. Sets targets, and ensures that service performance is monitored and maintained as defined within the agreed service level agreements, service level parameters or contracts on an ongoing basis
  • Responsible for driving the continuous professional development and improvement of the Application Services Team as whole, through sharing expert knowledge and experience, coaching, mentoring and feedback

You must:

  • Have gained extensive experience and knowledge of *aaS, Continuous Delivery, Automation and Integration in a complex commercial/professional services environment.
  • Have had experience working with either SuccessFactors or Salesforce.
  • Be results-oriented and customer-focused, able to demonstrate good inter-personal skills at all levels of contact and in a wide variety of situations, able to communicate and influence at all levels and in a globally diverse businesses.
  • Have experience working with cloud hosted applications.
  • Possess a broad understanding of business and business skills, displays a comprehensive understanding of the commercial and other needs and objectives of the users of the services provided.
  • Have a good understanding of methods and techniques for risk management, business impact analysis, countermeasures and contingency arrangements relating to the serious disruption of IT services.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make, and take responsibility for, sound and far reaching decisions on Service Level Management and related Service Management process issues, including methods and techniques for managing contracts to ensure that suppliers adhere to agreed contract requirements.
