Job title: Application Support Lead

Location: City of London (Flexible working)

Salary: £60,000

This role will be responsible for the control, security, availability, and performance of the IT Application Portfolio that the business consumes as Services. You will mature core ITIL processes.

Organisational and leadership skills will need to be strong to effectively manage the Application support team and their activities on a day-to-day operational basis to provide a high-quality, responsive, and consistent support service to our end users.

Day to day responsiblities

  • Ensuring all applications are proactively monitored, managed and supported according to industry/vendor best practice, applications are kept current, adhering to defined policies, processes and procedures to meet our agreed SLAs/KPIs.

  • Ensuring all Application Changes are presented well in CAB, and executed to plan without unexpected impact to service.

  • Ensuring all SIPs and Problems across the Application Portfolio are exhaustive in their search for root cause and preventative actions.

  • Ensure all Incidents are given the appropriate attention to meet and improve on our availability and performance measures.

  • Work with Vendor Service Management to review third party supplier perfromance as it relates to our applications, assessing the Service they provide, and assisting with technical detail.

  • Contribute to designing and delivering an enterprise application strategy which supports both IT and any wider business objectives

  • Work with Cyber Security to ensure that all Application components are managed to the appropriate level of risk

Person specification

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar Managerial role leading engineer teams.

  • 2+yrs Minimum in Applications Support L3 Role

  • Managing and maintaining Vendor relationships

  • Release and Deployment Management

  • Managing Defects & Testing

  • Securing, monitoring, managing public cloud services

  • Experience of delivery/working within ITIL environment

  • Ideally you will have knowledge of

    • MS Dynamics NAV & CRM

    • MS Sharepoint

    • MS SQL Server

    • MS Cloud

    • Microsoft Azure
