I am currently working with an exiting, upscaling payment service & software provider.

They are looking to employ an Angular Lead Engineer to work on one of their core products.

This role will see you doing the following:

  • Provide technical leadership at a Frontend design, engineering level, working in a cross functional environment, interacting with Product Managers, Technical Architects and Squad leads, and Tech engineers.
  • Lead Squads Of Frontend engineers for all the sprints.
  • Being an escalation point and subject matter expert for frontend technical engineering with the ability to be hands on and also mentor more junior engineers.

On a technical level, you'll be someone that comes from a strong Software Engineering background, 15 years of tech stack sound knowledge with a wide range of languages and tools, but with particular expertise in Angular (JavaScript and TypeScript), JS and TS Architecture Jira, Jenkins. Youll also enjoy working with AWS and tools like Terraform, Ansible or Jenkins. You'll have prior experience of a DevOps culture and be an advocate for the benefits that this brings.

Your technical experience will have seen you develop some of the following skills:

  • Proven experience as a Principal Engineer within a DevOps / Agile environment.
  • Advanced level Angular (JavaScript and TypeScript), AngularJS, JS and TS Architecture, AWS, Jira, Jenkins software engineer lead- who can define solution architecture, design, coding, code review, setting coding standards experience
  • Good experience as a lead developer delivering project work, mentoring team members, delegating work and ensuring development standards and practices producing relevant systems engineering artefacts such as models, requirements, use cases, interface definitions, technical delivery plans, verification plans etc.
  • Strong experience of Angular (JavaScript and TypeScript), Angular JS, JS and TS Architecture Jira, Jenkins ideally with API architecture and design skills. JAVA, Kotlin, Spring boot are a bonus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with non-technical members of staff in a cross-functional team.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools - Jenkins and AWS with the ability to build and manage pipelines.
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to manage upwards and own a technical roadmap.
  • An understanding of architecture, Design, Coding, governance and the formal review process.
  • A Cloud led approach to design with previous experience harnessing AWS to manage large datasets
  • Knowledge of, or exposure to security architecture, mobile, web application architecture.
