I'm currently working with a market-leading hospitality business to recruit an Agile Business Analyst for a Digital Transformation Programme.

The Agile Business Analyst will be working hands-on with the Agile delivery teams to provide in-depth guidance around user stories and acceptance criteria.

As the Agile Business Analyst, you will also be required to gather technical and non-technical requirements while working with internal subject matter experts as well as third-party vendors. Microservices and API's experience is essential as this is a large integration project.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Experience of working in an Agile development environment (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Experience of API or Microservice Design
  • Experience of working to Test Driven Development (TDD) and/or BDD Methodology
  • Hands on experience of SQL, JSON and/or XML
  • Experience of working in an SOA environment
  • Experience running refinement sessions
  • Experience of process mapping

Key responsibilities:

  • Member of Agile delivery team creating a service/integration layer using API/Microservice patterns
  • Understanding of concepts such as decoupled architecture, ESB, REST, SOAP and ability to review JSON/XML data feeds and API specifications
  • Documentation and Maintenance of API specification documents
  • Work with a variety of stakeholders (Product Owners, technical subject matter experts and 3rd party vendors) to create and prioritise a backlog of Epics and User Stories
  • Work with other BAs to create and align practices and methods for analysis within a large scale integration programme
  • Run product refinement sessions, aid the prioritisation process, attend agile ceremonies and participate in demos.
  • Perform data queries and analyse data to validate data quality and completeness and help steer API specification definition.
