Agile Delivery Manager - Retail - £90,000 - London

Are you a talented Agile Delivery Manager looking for an incredible opportunity to join one of the UK's leading retail businesses? La Fosse Associates are currently partnering with this business to recruit a forward thinking and progressive Agile Delivery Manager to join their high performing IT team.

The Role

They use Agile as a framework and take a practical approach rather than forcing teams to stick to a rigid set of agile rules with no flexibility - vital to your role will be promoting the use of appropriate Agile delivery tools and techniques, along with continuous learning and innovation transform to a leaner, more agile and collaborative way of working.

You must be able to demonstrate experience as a Delivery Manager or Scrum Master, successfully implementing software development projects using Agile methodologies, managing projects of medium/large size and complexity. Being strong technically is a must, so previous development experience would be beneficial, allowing you to provide highly credible leadership to teams and to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.

You will gain full responsibility of:

  • Day to day management of multiple delivery teams across a range of large, complex, mission critical, enterprise level projects.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives and demos.
  • Work with the Product Owner's, SMEs, and Technology Lead's to prioritise work and agree delivery plans.
  • Arrange backlog grooming sessions, design discussions and workshops ahead of Sprint Planning.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution, as well as demonstrating effective use of timeboxing.
  • Ensure adherence to the Definition of Done.
  • Setup and management of Scrum & Kanban boards, both physical and electronic (Azure DevOps).
  • Assisting team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks, leveraging organisational resources to improve capacity for project work.
  • Generate reports and forecasts on predicted and actual velocity.
  • Interacting with users, customers, senior stakeholders, management and third parties, keeping them up to date on progress and challenges where appropriate.

Your Profile

  • You must have at least 2 years' experience as a Delivery Manager or Scrum Master and be able to demonstrate experience of Agile software development principles and practices.
  • At a minimum, you must have attained a first level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I), ideally second or third level (CSP, CTC, PSM II, PSM III).
  • You must also have experience running/taking an active part in workshops and discovery activities, as well as running/taking an active part in forecasting and planning.
  • You must be able to promote empowerment of the team, ensuring each team member is engaged in the project and making meaningful contributions, and be able to encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality across the team.

Salary and Benefits
