The Company

You will be joining a luxury retail company based in Central London. The position of is to coordinate and perform complex analytical activities either with internal or external resources within the Customer Insight Team which is responsible for generating value to the brand through the recommendation of actions based on understanding our customers, market and business performance.

The plan is for the role to evolve into lead a small team of analysts to support this objective. The position requires previous experience of performing statistical analysis, such as predictive models and cluster techniques applied to retail or similar industry. Excellent spoken, written and presentation communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information to a non-technical audience. Clear understanding of how the analysis impacts commercial & strategic decisions.

Role Requirements

  • Sc. in Statistics or related subject.
  • Proficiency in SAS, good knowledge of SQL Server, Excel and Power Point are mandatory.
  • Experience with statistical modelling such as logistic regression, regression and time series.
  • Good knowledge of cluster analysis such as CHAID or k-means.

Coordinating technical team on complex analyses conscious of agreed timeline and business application.

Carrying out all types of statistical analysis using appropriate statistical methods and software, with minimal supervision. This may involve producing statistical models to predict behaviour during the customer life cycle, such as, likelihood to become either active or inactive, predict next purchase, cross or up selling and cluster analysis, among others.

Performing research into statistical methodology, keeping up to date with industry trends ensuring consistency in the application of techniques.

Acting as a consultant for internal clients, understanding the business issues and providing the best possible analytical solution to support decisions.
