Job Role: 3rd Line Engineer

Salary: Up to £51,000 + Oncall + Benefits

Location: Mostly Remote, Flexibility on occasional travel required

Key Skill Set Required: Azure, O365, VMware, Sharepoint essential

As a 3rd Line/Infrastructure Support Engineer, you'll provide world class support to the charities IT infrastructure, working closely with the business to understand and support their needs. You'll manage and support the IT infrastructure across the locations: including hardware, software, desktop and shared infrastructure, servers, mobile, voice and data networks.

You'll have previous ITIL knowledge and experience, formal certification preferred, as well as strong technical knowledge and practical experience of:

* Microsoft on-prem and cloud stack (AD, Server/Client OSes, AzureAD, O365/Exchange Hybrid, Intune/Endpoint Management)
* Virtualisation Technologies (VMWare)
* Storage Management (physical SAN and software-defined)
* Monitoring and management tools (PRTG, SCCM)
* Backup, restore and business recovery process

In addition, understanding of the following is desirable:
* Security Technologies (Firewalls / VPN / Malware Protection / Email & Web Filtering)
* Networking Technologies (LAN/WLAN, WAN/MPLS)

You'll have demonstrable experience of working in an IT Operations/Service Environment with knowledge and familiarity of using Service Management tools (Cherwell). You'll have substantial experience in supporting a Microsoft based environment, as well as strong experience with Active Directory and Cloud Identity environments.

To be successful in this role you'll also have the following additional skills and experience:
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
* Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, to identify and fix issues
* Ability to triage and diagnose end user issues efficiently
* Knowledge of prioritisation and escalation techniques
