Service Desk Engineer (Temp - Perm)

A Global logistics company are looking for multiple support 1st line engineers for initial 3 month contracts with a view to going permanent at this point. The roles are to support them in their long-term journey to deliver a new consolidated global service, building on their world-leading organisation. In support of this, the IT Service Operation is looking to expand as it moves to a 24/7 operation!

Perm benefits and shift pattern will be explained on brief of role on call

Requirements:

  • Ensure support calls are logged, updated and followed through to resolution on the helpdesk system.
  • At least 1 year experience of 1st and 2nd line support in windows environment
  • Resolve support incidents on the network, VOIP phones, servers, workstations, printers & mobile devices.
  • To escalate more complex calls to the relevant IT Support member
  • Administration of Active Directory Users and Computers
  • Set-up new starters on the system
  • Carry out day to day maintenance, administration and support on all computer systems as per the daily operations check list.
  • Email server mailbox maintenance including archiving
  • Strong network configuring experience and active directory
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting
