Location: London (3 days onsite)

Type: Permanent

Salary: £65k – £70k (possibly higher for the right candidate)

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, install, and configure .NET and other web applications.
• Manage SQL Server databases, permissions, backups, and script deployments.
• Perform structured releases across DEV, TEST, and PRD environments.
• Configure and manage virtualized servers (e.g., VMWare) with performance tuning.
• Install and support packaged applications such as BizTalk, Dynamics CRM, and Pega.
• Maintain deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting documentation.
• Monitor systems, logs, backups, and server resources; ensure availability and integrity.
• Administer Active Directory: users, groups, and service accounts.
• Assist with disaster recovery planning, testing, and out-of-hours deployments.
• Identify automation opportunities in deployments, maintenance, and environment refreshes.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and platform teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop CI/CD policies, standards, and training materials.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Application deployment/configuration experience
• Background in development, testing, or support
• Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills
• Build and deployment pipeline creation and maintenance
• Automation experience
• Windows Server, SQL Server Management Studio
• IIS and Apache Tomcat
• Virtualization (VMWare)
• Package management (CloudSmith, Artifactory)
• Containers: Minikube, Docker, Kubernetes
• CI/CD with SAST/SCA
• DevOps tools: Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, AWS CI/CD, TeamCity, OctopusDeploy
• Terraform, Ansible
• PowerShell scripting
• Azure & AWS fundamentals
