La Fosse are partnered with an exciting, multinational Financial Institutions who are currently looking for a Software Delivery Manager to co-ordinate and oversee initiative inception, supplier selection, development, and delivery activities.
The Delivery Manager position is an initial 6 month contract, outside IR35, with the ideal candidate being able to be on-site in London 2 - 3 days per week.
Skills and experience
The successful Delivery Manager candidate ideally has the following experience:
Agile delivery leadership career with a preference for those with Product Ownership / Management experience/skills.
Experience of delivering in a banking or civil service environment.
KYC implementation experience.
Experience leading agile inceptions and facilitating product workshops.
Evident capability to manage Agile delivery scope with strong stakeholder management and intervention.

Our London based financial services client is currently looking for a Software Delivery Lead to join them on an initial 6 month contract as they embark on a strategic decommissioning project on a number of systems that are not used or are to be replaced. The project will also work with business stakeholders to run a system selection for a Data Preservation/Archiving tool, working with the selected vendor to implement the tool and configure it for loading data, which has been extracted from systems intended for decommissioning.
The successful candidate will manage the creation and operation of a new, centralised team responsible for decommissioning retired applications, software and hardware components and navigating the organisation to identify technical teams who will perform specific functions in the decommissioning process, gaining their commitment and engaging with them to ensure tasks are done in right sequence and on time. You will manage the ongoing scope, utilising and tuning a standard decommissioning process; providing creative approaches to grouping and sequencing of requirements to get the most efficient delivery.
Essential Experience Required:
Proven experience in decommissioning of software applications and/or infrastructure components and/or data migrations
Proven experience of the end-to-end software delivery
Structured delivery management experience
Excellent coordination skills and the ability to multi-task at multiple levels
Excellent communication skills, managing the expectations of a large number of stakeholders and interested parties
Upwards management of a small number of executives, able to sell ideas and justify budgets
Project governance to PMO requirements
Accurate and timely communication of delivery status
Accurate and forward-looking management of financials
Maintenance of delivery plans; tracking or progress to plan
Pro-active management of risks and issues, determining mitigating actions and chasing actions to closure
Desirable Skills
A basic understanding of infrastructure components, networks or security considerations
Understanding of data privacy
Records management policies, such as retention and disposition rules and techniques
Previously implemented a data archiving or data preservation system (either package or in-house)
Agile methodologies including Use Case analysis, Features/Epics/User Stories (and their structure, mapping and dependencies).
