The 7 Deadly Sins of Implementing Agile

We were delighted to host The 7 Deadly Sins of Implementing Agile in partnership with Intechnica.

Agile has become a standardised solution for any organisation striving to increase revenue, customer retention and employee satisfaction; but how often do we actually see these promised benefits materialise? More often than not, the lack of expected results is due to one of the “Seven Deadly Sins of Implementing Business Agility.”

At La Fosse’s event, our experienced Agile Practitioners lead attendees through these common mistakes and suggested thought-provoking alternatives. Following a light meal, small round-table discussions gave attendees an opportunity to share challenges and solutions with peers. In true Agile fashion, the evening concluded with a Show-and-Tell which sparked a lively group debate.

This event was for senior business leaders who have experienced the challenges of implementing or scaling Agile and would like to share their insights and connect with peers.

Rod Armstrong:
Rod has over 20 years’ experience working within technology delivery across many industries and a range of roles. Over the last 15 years, he has been using agile methodologies to drive delivery effectiveness, ensuring expectations are managed and results are communicated. Having trained as a psychologist, Rod is focused on the behavioural changes required to successfully implement agile. Over recent years he has moved into a coaching role where he ensures agile approaches are embedded across organisations.

Richard Hilsley
Richard has over 25 years' experience in technology, the past 15 years in senior leadership roles running technology departments, setting strategy and managing development and operations in complex environments. He has worked in numerous sectors and experienced a variety of workplace cultures across financial services, eCommerce, travel and gaming organisations, with teams ranging in size from a handful of in-house engineers to over 300 globally. Everywhere he works, Richard brings a passion for driving change, particularly organisational transformation, and improving the productivity and general health of engineering teams.
