We sat down with a number of consultants across all levels of the business, so you can hear their story.
Here’s our next 60 second interview with Liam Grier, Managing Consultant - Business Systems...
Q: What university did you attend, and what was your degree? What were you doing just before joining La Fosse?
A: I attended St Marys in Twickenham to study Sports Science; after graduating I got an internship with an investment broker. However, it was all commission with no base salary, so after a few months I began looking for other opportunities.
Just as I was ready to accept a job offer in FX trading, I heard about La Fosse. I didn’t want to work in recruitment at first, but after interviewing and learning about the culture and opportunities for progression available here, I was sold.
Q: How long have you been working at La Fosse?
A: Nearly 5 years, I joined in November 2011
Q: What has been your favourite thing about working at La Fosse?
A: There are a few things, but I’ve really enjoyed the high-performance environment and working with an ambitious team. If you’re willing to put in the work, our flat structure and market-leading commission means you’re able to progress faster here than in almost any other industry.
However, it’s equally as important that we haven’t lost of our focus on culture as we’ve grown from a team of 20 when I started to nearly 150 today.
Q: What’s your story at La Fosse so far?
A: I began as an associate consultant on the contracts team, and was promoted after my first year. I spent my first year after promotion building the Business Systems desk from scratch.
After two years, I made my first hire, and today I manage a team of 5.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not working?
A: I enjoy being active and train regularly – usually boxing. I also like trying out different restaurants in London with family and friends.
